Under full throttle, a dragster engine consumes 1.2-1.5 gallons of nitro methane per second; a fully loaded 747 consumes jet fuel at the same rate with 25% less energy being produced.
I love the power those dragsters make with pistons! The jet analogy is flawed though, a fully loaded 747 does suck fuel at a gallon per second, but at 600 mph. its four engines are making the equivalent of 87,000 hp.
It looks like someone stuck a PT Cruiser grill onto a Bugatti Aerolithe.
