I`v e done plenty of door skins but never a hood or trunk skin. I have the correct anti-flutter material coming later this week but need advice on how to re-attach it. Do I simply lay down all the blobs of anti-flutter, drop on the skin on and start hammering over the edges or do I need to press down on it, weight it or anything? My fear is the anti-flutter will keep those spots up higher so the skin is not flat across or is it soft enough to not push it up? Is the weight of skin enough and it will be fine or do I need to do something to make sure it is flat (or relatively so as most body panels have some kind of curve to them)? Anyone know how they did/do it at the factory?

The dark, round spots are where the anti- flutter foam go.
