This is a display of inductive coupling. There are some tools on the market that use this principle. Energy is coupled through lines of flux, heating the work, but not the coil. Same thing as inductive cooktops.

High frequency induction heater. Uses water as a medium to circulate through the copper coils.
A transducer sets up the frequency and magnitude in the water, and it is circulated through
the coil that puts that energy into whatever is in the coil. We used to use two 400 amp units
to remove shrunk-on couplings from turbines and generators.
