Hello guys! Thank you in advance for your advice. I have a 65 plymouth Fury donor car which has a 8 3/4 rear end in it. I need it for my 68 coronet. I checked the sizes and apparently the Fury rear is only 1 inch wider than a 68 coronet.

Can I swap the 65 Fury 8 3/4, into the 68 Coronet with some modification? What modifications would it need if it can fit?

thank you again!

You would likely need to cut off and move the perches for the springs.
You should be able to measure how far apart they are.
Otherwise you just push the wheel out 1/2" towards the fender lip.
You should check the pinion angle as well.

Awesome! Thank you.

Sir, how do you make sure you have the correct pinion angle? Do you just estimate a decent angle and weld the perches there?

I thought it was a straight bolt in. Common practice for wider rear tires on later year B bodies.

Yes it was stolen from it a long time ago. Lol
Im trying to make something out of what I have, an can afford.
So, I would have to cut and relocate the perches to fit, with pinion angle in mind. Is there a specific way to making the angle correct? Or just make it straight and level?

Thank you for your help Gents!

Are you actually from Iran?
