i have pulled the front caliper off my 69 RR, removed the piston also. found the piston pretty banged up and seal is rough. pistons didn't have the dust boot either. my question is where do you folks buy these parts?
this is what i will need:
2 front single piston calipers
2 front rebuild kits with seals and boots
2 pistons
2 flex lines
my car was originally a 4 wheel drum car and previous owner said he put 1970 front disc on some time ago. would my master cylinder need to be changed or modified?

Have you checked your local parts store for rebuilt calipers with a guarantee?

called autozone, and they said they can order the calipers. they didn't know if it came with the pistons though. are the seals a pain to remove and install?

You might want to take a look on NAPA's website at parts #s, CAL SE 4617 (right) and, CAL SE 4616 (right) and check the pics to see if these look like the calipers on your car. They are about $45 per. http://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/R...k=Keyword&Nty=1&N=599001+101970+50056+2056018

hey Moparsmitty, that's exactly like mine. i looked at the closest auto parts store near me, and got Autozone. they list their price as 24.99 each semi loaded (w/o pads). going there right now to order. (takes 3 days). also getting the flex line to calipers (11.99 ea.) http://www.autozone.com/brakes-and-...ymouth/roadrunner/1970/8-cylinders-n-6-3l-4bl
either i'm gettin old, or brake work is a pain in the a$$
