On my '67 Coronet, I just received a new dual e-fan shroud setup to try on my 496. I have 3 relays for it, 2-70 amp, 1 for each fan, and 1 from the a/c to trigger both when the a/c is on. I have one 50 amp for my fuel pump, and 2 30 amp for my headlights. I am trying to find an modern OEM relay holder that can handle this load, is waterproof, and has room for all 6 relays that I can mount under the battery. Does anyone know of a relay holder/box of this nature? Not a cheap Amazon one, I've seen those melt.

Thanks in advance.

I'm using the Bussman relay/fuse box, but it takes mini-fuses and mini-relays that are only rated at 35-Amps. Connections are Metri-pack 280 style.
This one holds 5 relays and 10 fuses:

This larger one is 10 relays.

8-relay, 8-fuse with plug in connections, but expensive:

Ya, the fans are 45 amp each initial kick on and both come on at same time. I've got individual sealed relays but would much rather clean up the wiring w a box and not drill so many holes for relays and fuses.

You can likely use a 40 amp relay if the load is startup/surge 45 amp. It will reduce the cycles the relay can withstand over useful life. Not a big deal most of the time. Maybe call TE and verify with a tech/rep.

TE has 50 amp relays that are normal .250 blade connectors. No special terminals. Std relay connector/block.

50 amp, 4 terrminal
Not asking about what relay to use, have that entirely under control. As stated in my 1st post, looking for an OEM or equal quality waterproof relay box that can handle my combined amperage without melting.

That seems like a rather large relay for an electric fan. How much amperage draw are you getting when it kicks on? I use 40 amp relays on both my electric fans with under 23 apms draw on both.

Suggest U check the new power switching blocks from MSD..
Available in 20 & 35 Amp, very clean and compact mounting.

Thank you, I had seen those before but did not read all the details. All I saw was 35 amp n moved on. But just read they can handle much more for minutes, and the fans pull a lot for seconds. They can also be positive trigger on some and negative on others. Looks like what I need.

Gotcha, I haven't seen (or looked for) a distribution center that will take 6 relays.

I found a cheap 6-relay distribution center on Amazon, but it is not sealed.

Called Holley on the above relay setup. They said yes, it can have positive for 2 and negative for 2 triggers. And that it can handle up to 100 amp per relay for a few seconds. I think this will be my cleanest option. Pricey, but cheaper than doing it twice. I'll just leave my sealed headlight relays alone. Thanks for everyone's input.

Yup... Electric fans pull a lot of current @ startup...
But then fade down to a significantly lower level. The nice thing about the MSD/Holley part is that they use power transistors rather than relays with contact points...

Just my $0.02... ;)
