RIP to all the men and women lost at Pearl, and all the men and women that signed up after and paid the ultimate sacrifice. Unfortunately its a rainy day so following flag protocol my flag is not up.

I can't say it enough. Whether you're still with us today or not, thank you all who have served our country.

USS Arizona. December 25, 1916. See the Christmas trees on top of the (2) lookout towers.

Post attack - Japan acknowledged they fear “they’ve awakened a sleeping giant”. Indeed they did and consequently paid the highest “Ultimate Price in Human History”.

A special place, on a special day...
Great men/women for a different time/era... (some call it the greastest generation)

'A day that will live on in infamy'...

(as much as I dislike FDR & his socialist/tax & spend polices, covering 4 terms,
well 3 & a couple months, he thought he was a king, but he was right on that statement
)

My wife and I visited the Memorial back in 2011, very moving. I was very struck by the way the USS Missouri is moored. The Missouri is purposely moored where she is because she stands guard over her fallen comrade, the USS Arizona and her crew.

God Bless and thank you all who served and are currently serving.

We were at Pearl in August. There was a large group on The Memorial. Everyone spoke in hushed voices, and in the end will the wall of names of the fallen, not even the small children made any noise.
