426 hemi with edelbrock AVS2 650 carbs.
I have removed the choke from the front
carb and trying to decide to keep or remove
from the rear carb as well. I wouldn’t be daily driving this car in the cold winter months so should i keep or ditch it?
thanks

Mine will be stock carburetors, choke on the rear as stock with heat tubes and working heat riser. Both my current Hemi 4-speeds are that way. They crank and run like mothers grocery getter, until you ask them to do otherwise. The Hemi automatic car doesn't run smoothly until the temperature gauge gets above 145. It has block offs on the heat tubes and the heat riser is non existent.

Keep the choke! There is no question.

I have many Cars parked in non heated garage and they start in Freezing weather. The passengers can’t believe how Easy the start and run.

Even in 100 degree Florida, my old cars use/need the choke.

My 499ci in Texas starts up easier with the choke even in summer same as YY1. I disconnected it after doing a carb rebuild but I'm thinking of hooking up again to get those EFI like startups.

We have had excellent running carbureted cars for 70+ years! And then came ethanol fuel and tree huggers. If you carbureted car doesn’t run right, fix it so it does.
