66 Coronet 440 2dr HT. Stripping the inside down completely. I searched the threads for one on removing a steering column, but did not find one. Does anyone know if there is a thread on this already, or can give me instructions on removing the steering column. It has power steering.

I'M A DUMB *** AND I WAS ABLE TO DO IT.
First off, the Brake booster OR Brake Master Cylinder mount has to be removed.
Also, lay on your back, look underneath dash, you'll see a plate w/ 6 fastners.
And there is (are) 2 brackets supporting Column inside to dash etc.
Again, take pics and relax.
Its easy.

After doing the above, will the steering shaft come out of the steering gear box or is there something on the outside I will have to do? Thanks

There is a roll pin that goes through the steering coupler at the steering box. Knock it out with a pin punch. You will also have to unplug the wiring harness under the dash.

Knock out roll pin at steering box coupling with a 1/4" punch.
Un-hook column shifter linkage if so equipped.
Dis-connect wiring harness at column
Remove the three 5/16" bolts for the large column plate on firewall
Remove the 3 bolts at the column plate to dash mount.
With a large pry bar slide coupling off of the steering box while a helper slowly pulls column into car.

Piece of cake.
