Just joined recently and look forward to communicating about our projects. I have a question regarding fuel additives for my 440 HP engine which I installed in my 67 Belvedere II two door HT. What is a good fuel additive for this engine?
Thanks,
Barry

welcome to FBBO

maybe try to post a thread in the general discussion forum, it'll probably get far more useful responses...

this is the welcome wagon, mainly for intros & some personal back ground to get to know each other,
maybe share a few photos of your B-Bodies & other Mopar's etc.

good luck & happy Moparing

Hi!
Welcome aboard!
Thanks for joining the forum.

Why do you need a Fuel additive?
Just add some VP racing fuel.

Well, in 1968 they didn't have unleaded gas. Shouldn't I use an additive in unleaded gas so it doesn't harm my 440 from a 68 GTX?
Thanks,

Even if the seats are not hardened it should still be ok to run unleaded fuel. If you feel you need some leaded fuel then perhaps you can mix AV gas or race fuel if you have cash to spare.

If you are planning to tow with your car and keep the engine under continual load and stress, you want hardened valve seats. Other than that, they can easily last 30,000 or more miles just fine. You car will likely never see that much again. If you plan to drive it constantly, then maybe think about it. Otherwise, spend the money on other stuff the car needs...
