Have a 73 Charger. When I put the car in DRIVE, the Reverse lights come on and stay on. Is this due to a bad Neutral Safety Switch?

Most likely. Did it just start happening ? If so, Mopar made a few changes to the switch over the years in length.make sure you get the correct switch for your tranny's year. Match the length.

Unplug the harness from the trans. Do they go out?? If so, start by testing the two outside pins on the switch for continuity between the two. If there is continuity at any time other than when the car is in reverse, the switch is bad. Otherwise, the problem lies elsewhere. HTH, Lefty71

Thanks for the reply.
Yeh...it just started last week. The wife noticed pulling out of the garage.
