Couldn’t find a link. Heard it on 60’s on 6 XM. But you know how I fib about stuff like this.

Who ?
not sure I've ever heard of them/him

RIP John

Man was that transitional time that brief? I remember it so well. We just wanted to be cool. Motown was and always will be great, post British Invasion, Beach Boys, right on the Psychedelic cusp. 67-68.

Never knew Uncle Ted, played in that band...
or didn't remember, 1968 I was 9 y/o

Youngster, I was 15 and lusting over BB Coronets, beer, and girls all at the same time. Camel Filters too. It was good.

Uncle Ted was doing some finger tapping way back in 1968.

I still don't see an obituary for him.

Leave your cares behind come with us and find
The pleasures of a journey to the center of the mind
Come along if you care
Come along if you dare
Take a ride to the land inside of your mind
Beyond the seas of thought beyond the realm of what
Across the streams of hopes and dreams where things are really not
Come along if you care
Come along if you dare
Take a ride to the land inside of your mind
But please realize you'll probably be surprised
For it's the land unknown to man
Where fantasy is fact
So if you can, please understand
You might not come back
Come along if you care
Come along if you dare
Take a ride to the land inside and you'll see
How happy life could be if all of mankind
Would take the time to journey to the center of the mind
Would take the time to journey to the center of the mind
Center of the mind

Great video - young Uncle Ted along with some really cute backup dancers. I miss those cute, clean girls of that era.

I can’t find an Obit either. The DJ on SIRIUS 60’s at 3 PM Eastern yesterday said he got an email from John’s Wife that he passed, had been sick. If anyone here finds the Obit please post the link.
