What tools/parts do you folks bring with
on a road trip “just in case”?

Extra ignition parts... :) If you have any old spark plug wires laying around maybe grab a couple long ones to add to the road trip package.

American Express! Don't leave home without it! ruffcut

AAA card and a small tool box.

Walmart sells these small tool kits with generic tools, 40 bux, worth keeping one in the car. Also jumper cables, a good jack and fix-a-flat for those nights when its pouring rain and you just don't feel like changing a tire...

Cash, knife, flashlight, toolbox, 50/50 water/antifreeze, and drinking water.

Testicles, spectacles, wallet, and keys!

If you are really tripping with a big block a new water pump, not in stock everywhere, and I always carry a spare known to run points distributor.

Mostly will be day tripping.
Thanks for all the good ideas

Ballast resistor, ECU, cap and rotor, fan belt, and radiator stop leak. Cheap socket and wrench set, vice grips, and a long jumper to go from the battery to the coil to bypass everything and get me home, and of course duct tape.

It’s one of those questions where the more you ponder on it, the more stuff sounds like a good idea to bring along until the trunk is full and no room left for the wife’s luggage…
