Rocker trim holes

Good morning FBBO hope all had a

good Christmas. I have a question about installing new rocker trim 68

satellite need hole locations in quarter panel and front fender them parts are new. I have the holes under the doors,and where does the metal clip with the wire hood

To line them up in the correct line, use a white chalk box.

Sorry question lol. Any details on how to install the trim like what’s the gap at the fender and quarter looks like a 1” and do you install the clips on the car then snap the trim on?

Insert the plastic clips into the rocker first. Then snap the trim piece onto the clips.

I had to fab new fender clips too.

Yes , install them on the car first. Use a chalk line to mark your line. If your metal clip has the threaded stud on it, it can be installed in the molding first. If I remember correctly the molding hooks at the bottom and snaps at the top. Straight chalk line is Crucial. Pul a chalk line across the holes and snap the line.

The spacing of the clips is not critical, having them in a straight line is.

Thank you. A chalk line in this case, is your most important tool in the tool box. Lol
