Hey all, so I filled in the seams of my Runner's body seams last night with the 3M seam sealer (tan stuff in the tube), and according to the directions, they state it can be painted in 40 min, BUT 12 hours later, and I can easily put in a thumb nail in it. My question is if this stuff ever fully hardens or remains pliable like that? If it remains pliable, and suggestions for painting it or should I leave it bare? Thanks

What is the part number for the 3M sealer. If it is a urethane based sealer it will remain flexible like rubber. I prefer the urethane materials as opposed to the acrylic ones for this reason. Better to have a little flex in a cured material in order to avoid cracking with body flex.
