Hey guys, I started disassembling my steering box last night and noticed a couple of grooves in the sector shaft where the seal sits. The box never leaked and this area was dry when I started disassembly, but I'm afraid that now that Ive disturbed the area that it will leak once it goes back together. I wet sanded it with 400 just to get a better look. I measured it with the calipers and the best that I can tell is that the deeper groove measures about .010" smaller than the shaft. Is this cause for concern or will a new seal be tight enough to keep it from leaking? Thanks:
