Shift linkage question

I have a guy that wants to purchase an auto shift linkage and neutral safety switch from my 67 charger parts car, he has a 69 Coronet and wants to know if it will work...any knowledge on this would help thanks

The automatic transmission shift linkage should work if both transmissions are the same, ie. both A-904 or both A-727 for a column shift. If floor shift, the swap is more direct although the recipient must have the lower link mount on the transmission tail housing.

The neutral safety switches are different. The 1967 car has a switch connected with a single wire with a ring terminal secured by a nut and washer to the contact stud as shown in the following image:

The 1969 car has a three terminal combination neutral safety and reverse lights switch, as shown in the following image:

The center terminal is the neutral safety switch portion of the later combination switch. The outer terminals are the reverse lamp switch connections.

To use the early switch, the gear selector (rooster comb) must be changed in the 1969 transmission to the 1967 type. If used, the reverse lamps will no longer have a switch. The reverse lamp switch from the 1967 car (on the steering column or floor shifter) could be adapted to the 1969 car in this case.
