Hi fellas,
I just purchased a new rear clutch piston return spring and it resulted in .080" of slop in the assembly. In lieu of a new A&A thicker piston can anyone see anything wrong with machining a ring style spacer to position the piston up in the retainer to eliminate the excess slop? It would have an OD to fit snugly in the ID of the retainer. Using aluminum sheet.

I have done it, the difference in the pistons is .050" so I use .050" 2024 T3 sheet metal.
