What sort of screws and so forth were used to attach the side mirror mounting plates to the outer door panels on the 1973 Road Runners?

Thanks.

They use plastic clips like these

Screws are just for the mirror to the backing plate, but plate itself is hold just by the clips to the door skin.

You can use anything similar

Actually they are quite enough. Once mirrors are in place the clips don't hold anything. They "work" just while mirrors are not in place to hold the plate.

Yes, that's what I figured since the door panel is sandwiched between the mounting plate and the mirror.
