Six Pack OEM Air Bleed and Kill Bleed Sizes

Looking for factory specs for air & kill bleed sizes for list numbers 4391, 4393 & 4394 and sources. Seems like Google using AI is all over the place without stating sources.

For the kill bleed, what did your research show?

I bought new 4393 carbs in 1977 from Mancini Racing. They came in Direct Connection boxes. They were manufactured in 1969.

What I do know is they were larger than 0.043”. I just don’t remember what they were.

That's one thing I don't do with mine, drilling air bleeds, it's kinda permanent.

Not sure if that was to me, but technically when you’re making them smaller, it’s not drilling them.

Called Chicago Carb, they sent me to Holley. Called Holley, they sent me to Daytona Parts Co. Called Daytona Parts Co. and talked to their carb guy. Very nice gentleman who was able to assist with Air & Kill bleed sizes for a small block set from a set he had in house.

Still on the hunt for the A12 Air & Kill Bleeds sizes.

I had a good friend for over 40 years ( I spent a lot time with him) that his specialty was Holley sixpack carbs and others. So I had notes that I kept over the years. The kill bleeds are big block .036 and small block is .046 not sure on the air bleeds.

Be careful what you choose to believe.

Chrysler stated the A12 came with two different kill bleed sizes. They changed them in production. The early production ones with a larger KB that they carried through the following years. Also, pretty reliable sources have the 70-71 6-pack KB at 0.043”.

I know I had to plug my 4393s to get them to the DC recommended 0.043”.
