Smells and memory

"London plane trees" on a rainy day
walking through a pine forest
that smell when you know your "gona get some "
fresh picked bud ( while it is still skunky)
the aroma from fresh out of the oven bread
bacon cooking in the morning
the smell the whole house gets when making a stew /braised steak and onions in the pressure cooker

My Dad's smell in our old Mopars. After a complete restoration of 72 Challenger his smell is still there.....spooky cool.
The Beach.
Fresh Cut Grass.
Cleaned Sheets that were dried outside on the clothes line.
Summers back in the 70's and 80's.

The smell of high test 2 cycle fuel burning in the morning (at the races). That instantly brings back good memories of my not so distant past.

Stayed at an acquaintance place on the Hudson Upstate New York. That was in 1984 on the way to Aspencade on the old BMW MC. Awoke to the smell of bacon, and the sound of the river. Never forget. Beautiful part of the world there.

Remember a bottle of 'Old Spice' on my uncle's dresser at grandma's right after Korean War; I still buy/use it. My dad always had a bottle. Hoppe's #9, gotta love it!!!

A fresh Christmas tree as it thaws in your house filling the room with that unmistakable scent, before Decorating commenced.

The Corner Bakery on Sunday Morning with the Fresh Bread and Rolls baking and the smell of the sweet cloved Baked Ham..............Slice me a few pounds! The smell of rain on a Hot Day..... The Smell of the Nestles Chocolate Plant, every time I drive into Burlington Wi.

Just that faint whiff of a moldy room conditioner in a old room
Reminds me of a Florida motel.
Summer vacation.
And Douglas Fir is Christmas.
