Look great to me. Is there a reason you pulled them?

tinge lean looking , i have to say mine are the same colour , and 10 000 miles on her since rebuilt my /6 with twin Webers and 268 cam

Thanks guys, I pulled all 8 just to have a look. The 440 is the one I installed last summer. Its been running fine but has that typical water your eyes back bumper aroma.
I know lean or rich can cause that but crap I don't know what way to go lol.
Prob best just to not worry about the stink and drive it.

Yeah, All of my vehicles that have carburetors stink way more than our fuel injected car.
Way worse when they do the "winter blend," and here I thought it was just me.
Or maybe no cats.

Yes! Todays gas just stinks. When I fire up the Roadrunner in the garage, even for the short time until I pull the car out, it reeks

to me the rim of the plug looks a little rich and maybe a little too much timing. I think a vacuum advance can show a little too much timing though. if it runs and drives fine then maybe leave it alone. I don't think iron heads are easy to set up carbs anymore. the crummy gas and combustion chambers do create a challenge.

Thanks lewtot, yes its running fine and starts good hot. I will not hurt to try to back off the timing a little. That may help clean up the exhaust a little.
