Great tour yesterday, no pukes from anything at stops and starts. No leaks, nadda. Went out in the shop this morning to a mess of trans fluid that got past the dipstick tube O-ring.
Running in Neutral the dip stick showed about mid way between add a pint and full. With the tube now out I'm noting the Full mark is well ABOVE the tube O-ring. Is this normal???? Or is this dip stick too short, thus overfilling the transmission based on the dip stick reading.
I'm talking a lot of fluid draining out. I don't know what is on the floor, but my cookie tray caught this much when I pulled the tube. Converter drain back after shut down???
I stacked two consecutive sized o-rings and RTV'd them back in, but would like some confirmation on static fluid level in the transmission. Should it actually be above the case hole for the dip stick tube???
THANKS!
