Steering column shaft length

Does anyone know what the entire steering column shaft length is for a 68-70 B-body with power steering?

Just pulled an old AT on the column apart, I am getting 41 in. But the plastic insert are gone so?? Dont see any witness marks on the rust where it moved but it is 50 yr old rust.
