Steering Wheel Reupholster (Re-covering)

Have any of you ever had a steering wheel re-upholstered? I really dig the look of my Grant Formula GT steering wheel, but I can't stand the vinyl covering. I'd like to have it re-covered in perforated leather with nice stitching. I'd also like to have finger contour grip added - is this even possible or would adding finger contours require a new molded piece to then add the leather?

Having your Grant upholstered might cost more than what you can buy a new one. This is where I bought mine Lecarra Steering Wheels By Lokar Inc.

I had them do a thicker grip in Black leather with a baseball stitch.
