72 charger

Finally got my torsion bars out of my 72 charger and i found out they are only .88 something in diameter so im assuming they are the stock bars that came with the car. The car originally had a 318 in it and when i got it it came with a 383. So the question im getting at do i need to get bars bigger in diameter because of the bigger motor or are the stock bars just fine.
