Strange S60

Took your advice went with the s track. 4.10 gear upgraded yolk, cover and powdered coated. 1967coronet440 thanks

Salesmen is calling tomorrow to finalize. What length stud and size should I get 2 or 3 inch. I'm using drum brakes

Sweet, I think the s trac is a real nice piece. Can handle all the abuse you can throw at it while at the track, but drives like an open diff when cruising. S trac also has a lifetime warranty!

He He He....got a truck axle full of Strange 60 stuff for sale.....never mind :D The 3" screw in studs is the way to go and the Strange D60 is a great piece.

Yeah I have a Dodge Dana 60 out of a truck also. Tried finding someone to cut it to length. I guess I will try selling both of them. 8.75 with 742 case and the truck Dana. I H8 spell check s trac

Good choice...

good luck, with the S-60

Regarding stud length, something to consider, especially with 66/67 B-bodies is clearance to get the wheels on and off. Judging by your handle, I am assuming we are working with a 66 Coronet. Are you sure you’ll have adaquate clearance to get your wheel & tire combo up and into the wheelhouse with the 3” studs? I know on my car with all stock dimensions, 28x9’s on 15x8’s will fit, but getting them in past the studs is the tightest point in the equation. 3” studs would be a no-go.

I have 3” studs in stock tubs and it’s a bitch getting them on. Deflate tires and squeeze them in

LemonWedge is telling the truth. W/28" tall slicks it was a major PIA. When I went to 29.5 tall I had to cut off 1" on the studs and still had to deflate the slicks.
This is w/ stock width dana, 8" rims. The car is on stands w/the rear dropped all the way.
