2/3/2018: And so it begins...

Welcome to the Registry Thread. In a previous post, I noted that a fellow Plymouth B-body enthusiast had put together a pretty good 71-72 database of cars, but I was not aware of anyone starting a registry for the 73-74 cars. I have volunteered to do this, and this thread will play host to the 73-74 registry for now. If there is enough interest and participation, this thread could evolve into a full blown stand-alone website similar to my Mopar Sunroof Registry site. With so much info that could be included in a registry, it would be impossible to get it all posted at once - so this will be a work in progress for quite a while.

To participate in the Registry:

Here is a list of items that you can include in the registry. Owners can share as much or as little as they want - but item number 1 would be a bare minimum to participate.

1) One picture of your car, and either a picture of the fender tag or a list of the codes. (Some owners are wary about giving out their entire VINs for their cars, and I understand that. So if that is the case, cover or digitally X out the last two digits in the VIN and that would be very sufficient for the registry.)

Optional (but very welcome) items:

2) A few additional photos of your car. Optimal shots include: A front/drivers angle, a rear/passenger angle, interior shot, and engine bay shot.
3) A very brief simple history of your car: Where/when you bought it, was it a project/survivor/restored/etc, and maybe a few things you've done to the car while you have owned it.
4) Additional documentation like pictures of broadcast sheets, window stickers, door stickers, and Galen reports are very welcome items.

You can send your info to: [email protected]

ALSO, If anyone spots a 1973-74 B-Body on eBay/Craigslist/etc. that has at least some VIN or fender tag data, shoot me a message at the email above. Thanks!

1973 Plymouth B-Body Registry Statistics:

I currently have a little over 50 cars in the registry so far. I am currently cataloging and sorting them to get them posted here - coming soon!

1974 Plymouth B-Body Registry Statistics:

I currently have only 26 cars in the registry so far - going to need some help here! As soon as I get the 1973 cars sorted out, I will start in on the 1974s.

Additional Resources:

Barry Washington's Hamtramck Historical website is chocked full of info for 1973-1974 Plymouth B-Bodies - from Dealer Brochures to original Chrysler Service Bulletins and a lot in between. Just go to the Library section on his awesome site:

Thank you for starting this.

I don't have my old '74 400/RR any more, but I'll give you as much info as I can dig up.

I'll see what I have hanging around from my 73 and 74 Charger SE cars I sold a few years ago.
The 74 was a loaded sunroof car.

Info on my old '74:

VIN: RM21P4G108795
1974 RR with 400/Auto on column. I bought it in 1991 in Maryland for $995 with (what I assumed to be) 120,688 mile (odometer showed 20,688). Car was sold in MD in Dec of 1992 for $1000. Factory 400 car but had a 1971 383 in it. Sold car with a date-coded 400 and trans that was never installed.

Exterior:
Black W/red stripe (mostly still factory)
Hood pins
Engine (400) callouts on hood
Cop wheels added in 1992.

Interior:
Black w/bucket seats, no console. Front seat inserts were recovered in May of 1992 with cloth in factory pattern.
Auto on column
Rally cluster

I believe I have pics including either the tag or build sheet of two SSP 400-4 4 speed cars.
One was on this site somewhere.

Thanks SureGrip! If you dig up any pics of the car or the tag data, I would love to see 'em.

Alright - it has begun. I have just set up a Registry website using Google Sites. It can be found here:

https://sites.google.com/view/1973-74-plymouth-b-body-regist/home

I will start transferring stuff from this page over to the new Website shortly. I would also like to hear from everyone here what they would like to see on the new website. Its about time we got this rolling!!!!

I can be contacted at: [email protected]

Thanks in advance for any help and guidance you can provide.

Scott.
