Just came from the engine builder. All broke in and ready to be brought home. 425HP 500 torque 17 inches of vacuum at idle. Should be a fun engine 425 torque at 2800 RPM

Congratulations. What kind of distributor setup is that? Is the distributor driven off water pump.

We had the distributor out to change the advance curve. That is jut the cap hanging there.

It’s funny I noticed what it looked like when I posted the picture, but it was the only one I took when on the dyno.

Final tune on the dyno. 421hp at 4800 RPM 505 torque 3900RPM
Stock 426 was 470 torque at 3200RPM
My 440 494 at 3200 RPM
I am very happy with the results. I am also impressed with my carburetor tuning skills. We installed my carburetor and the fuel numbers were as good as if we had tuned for the exact engine The only tuning required was the MSD distributor.

Nice and strong

Did the dyno guy mention trying a holley for laughs?

We tried a Demon and a Holley My Edelbrock was as good or better then both.

Hah! Well there you go!

The power curve changed between the carbs but none were greatly superior to the other
