This poor Bee has been sitting since 1976... condition is horrible...made a strong offer but the family still believes they will fix it up someday!
They must not think much of the owner…wish I had $100.00 for every car I walked away from after hearing that same bull shit.
Yep pride and joy to watch it rot away. I loved my charger but did not have the funds so I sold it so it wouldnt rot away. I tired of people saying one day Im going to restore it and they never do. Sad that Bee is doomed
What a shame and how sad to see the car rotting away like that , it's a great color too!! It would look stunning when restored. It seems everyone says that though, "I'm gonna fix it up". It's the exact same thing with a tractor I wanna and tried to buy that's what he said too, I'm gonna fix it
That car will end up crushed by the garage collapsing, the garage is coming down on it already it's only a matter of time Just hope it gets saved!
Several times I have made offers on a car that the owner won't sell. My last offer is several times more than what the car is currently worth. He doesn't have the money or the resources to repair or restore the car. The owner says that he will give it to his daughter when he dies. My bet is that she will sell it for scrap shortly after he is gone. But like they say, it is his car to do what he wants with it.
A guy 2 miles from me bought a 1969 B5 4-speed Bee new. Drove it until 1978 when it developed a motor issue. He parked it in his yard on the grass with the intent to fix it up someday. I as well as many others tried to buy it many times throughout the years. It finally got drug out 2 years ago. I don't know that I have ever seen a more rusted out car. What a shame and what a dumbass for allowing it to happen.
If it's been sitting in that spot for the last 45 years, they obviously didn't give a shit about it, the barn or the 'owner' the whole time. Now to claim they're going to fix it up "some day" is simply disgusting!
A mind is a terrible thing to waste, but for a car to waste away is even worse, as the car has no say in the matter. So sad to see owners allow this to happen.
Its gonna take everyone involved with that car and property to die and all the shit to go into some kind of stupid probate before that car ever sees the light of day. kinda sad thats a bad ass car.
A real shame. It’s already getting close to being too far gone. I guarantee that they don’t have the resources or desire to fix it, or they would show more care for it. When I was gathering parts cars years ago one was a 1970 ‘Cuda Gran Coupe. I didn’t know that a car could rust like that, but sitting in tall grass with the windows up rusts literally every surface. We saved some of the seat parts and a bunch of trim screws.
There's a '68 Coronet, near me, that's been sitting under a tarp for 40 yrs. Another "We'll get to it someday"...
