The Most Wasted 70 R/T Charger Ever...

You can retire now after grabbing the 69 Charger R/T that was hanging around.
Speaking of hanging around… Did this one ever get back to ground level? And were helmets used?

Brings back memories of parting out rusty New England Chargers back in the day when there was no aftermarket sheetmetal to fix them.

Such a shame that people allow the cars to get this bad until there is nothing left but maybe a few parts.
I drug my Roached Runner that was a used up old parts car out of a field for free and slapped it together with leftover parts that I had laying around.

The car only needed every piece of Charger sheetmetal in the AMD catalog and a 70 Charger nose to fix it!

I did list the N code charger sheet in lost and found on this forum...if it finds its way to the registry, so be it.

Interestingly, when I got the 67 Cuda home, it had a set of black bucket seats in it I thought were from a charger...since all these cars came from the same place I decided to pull the back covers off to see if maybe they were from the orange R/T, and possibly have the build sheet. Turns out there was a build sheet, but from a AAR Cuda! I did send the vin to the AAR registry.

Maybe the guy has an AAR Cuda hanging around over there too! Better go check the rest of his buildings!

I know where the twin to your 70 Charger RT is sitting. It’s in the original owners driveway. I’ve been friends with him for a few years. He has not uncovered it to look at it for 22 years, he told me. He turned down good offers with the old reply of “ I’m going to fix it up some day”. He’s 82. It will never happen. I drove my 70 Charger RT survivor to see him the other day and I think he may have realized that he will never get it done. He has turned down some good offers. I need to hit him up to sell it but the buy in will be steep, I’m sure. But it was rust free being in Texas so it can be fixed.

If you guys ever stumble across one with the VIN ending 626 I would offer a reward for info or the car.. I hired a PI and awaiting details as my DMV said it’s still out there. Hard to believe someone could let one get so bad.
