Did you solid weld the bottom of the rocker to the chassis or stitch weld it?

Any pictures?
I'll have to go out an get a snap or two. It's an ugly stream of MIG plug welds and stitches. Eventually, I'll fully weld it and blend smooth, but I've put that off until I can trim the quarters and fenders to match the rocker profile.

Best photos I have right now are the front rocker corners. This is weld seam will carry all the way through to the quarter panel.

David, you say you're doing MIG in those areas. I don't see any spall. Are you using spray transfer/pulse MIG in those areas? Way clean.

It’s slow progress, but rewarding. Crossovers are done, now to run the 3/5 and 4/6 primaries down to them.

Thanks man. This is -by far- the most difficult design/fab project I’ve done.

Those are some very slick band clamps for welding! The level of detail is amazing!!
These things are handier than pockets on a shirt. SS Custom are good Aussies that make some nice fab tools. Best tacking clamp I’ve ever used.

Today’s task is to measure how long these primaries are already. #5 is probably going to be the go-by for the rest of the pack, and I think it’ll end up around 38”-40”.

Connected No4 to the crossovers - first primary to now route all the way to a collector. I need to double check, but it’s about 39”. The dry sump drains are still accessible.

Changing up the dry sump fittings. Normal NPT to AN with a 90 is too bulky, and oil lines between primaries seems like a bad idea, even if everything is insulated. So, -12AN O-ring banjos it is. Right now, I have a 2" air gap to every oil port and the banjos will improve that.

Until then, No6 is connected to the collector. If there’s room after I run 2 and 8, I might have a chance to eliminate the 2” CLR bend for a 4”. That's 50/50.
