At my race on Saturday, I made 2 timeshots which were fine and then 1st round, couldn't run my number and sounded a bit off.
When I got home, checking everything over in the engine compartment, found my header tube had about a 3 inch long split in it at the bend.
Pulled them out and found the one next to it had a hole also.
Paper thin at then bends.
I had a new 90 degree bend to replace the one rotted piece and the other was able to be welded.
Since the headers were out, I put back my 8" converter that I loosened up.
I'm ordering new headers next week.
Tomorrow is another race. Hopefully not another test n tune which is what this entire year has turned out to be.
Oh,
Almost forgot.
Just pulled a nail out of my trailer tire for an added kick in the ***.
