AI is collecting data on everything you do and where you go. Next up: retail commercials as you drive past various retail stores and food joints. Custom ads are on the internet for you, why not in your car? Data is valuable for a reason.

It’s getting ridiculous. A lot of money is made in advertising. I’m still pissed about Netflix and prime video getting greedy and flooding us with commercials.

I already want to take my jack handle to the gas pumps that have ads. I record everything I watch on TYV so I can skip the ads. I cannot imagine being subjected to it in my own vehicle. Any car company that will try and sell me a car with ads with not be getting my business.

We have seen those imbedded ads that you see in YouTube videos....
Wouldn't it suck to have them on the "adult video" sites ?? All those interruptions ?

I'm almost there...and today only at Burger King two for five whoppers! And i'm spent! lol

The noise of the adds, makes it hard for me to listen as the tank gets close to full. So I often make a small puddle.

If they do it like youtube, you could pay a monthly subscription to remove the ads!
I just stop watching youtube when they get uppity and try to shut down my ad blocker. Not an option for a car, but I don't have to buy one in the first place in that case.

They are also selling cars now that require subscriptions to run certain features that were free when you bought the car but expire one year after purchase. Remote start, nav maps to name a couple. They are also phasing outa apple and google play so you can’t use your phone to access free things they want to sell you like google maps.

Ads and targeted marketing has been going on for a long time, AI or not. This stuffs been listening for years, navigation has always known where your are. AI stuff is way bigger than ads.
