Hello all. Been working on a 69 Roadrunner and will be doing some 1/4 mile racing when done. Question I have has anyone run a 315/60/15 M/T street et pro on a stock suspension? How much squatting does it come to hitting the top of a 29 or 30 inch tire? If there is only a 1/4 or 1/2” space between the panel or leaf spring is that ok? Or would it be better to run a 275/60/15. 3:73 gears. Thanks for any info. I am very new at this

1/4” clearance will most likely rub. It really depends on what you’re most interested in.... with a 3.73 gear, it’ll be faster on 275’s because of the effective gearing advantage. The 315 will look killer. A 275 will hook literally anything at a prepped track, though.

it kind of seems they all are a bit different .
With my 68 Satellite I ran 275/60's and 28x10.5 pro bracket radials for a lot of years , hooked and fit in the trunk easy . When I went transbrake , could not get them to work .
I had tried 295/65R15 ET street SS , but these caught the dogleg on braking at the line . I now run the PBR 29.5x10.5 which are 30"tall , BUT I moved the diff back 1/4"with a spacer plate
If trying for max et with the 3.73 I would use the 275

Thanks for the info. I probably will go the 275 route. It will be somewhere around 690 torque and 680 hp. So would the 295/65/15 fit on it whitout rubbing then too? Ten inch rim

296/65 is I think 30.5" . you will have to buy and try or borrow

I know different body style but I have 315's on my Challenger. They are huge. I did move my springs inboard and the same will have to be done on a B Body. 295''s will fit with the perfect back space. I think it is 5".

Wow they really do look good on there. What size rims you have and do you know the section with with them inflated?

I have them on 12" rims. The section width is like 15-1/2" wide.
