I was wondering what size tire would work best for the rear tires on a 73 charger. I did a search here and only found a thread for a 68 and a 66 charger, and with different body lines I just wanted to make sure to get the sizing right. I currently have bf goodrich radial t/a's on the front and rear, with both being the same size. Great tire, but the rears sit in the wheel well to far... I want a tire more more beef on it to fill out that wheel well by filling it in wider but not past the body lines or top of the wheel well, and then also Id like something with more height on it as well

Tire size depends on wheel size and back spacing, without those I don't think anyone can give you an intelligent answer.

Well I can say this all of mine have 14 by 10 wheels on the back of them except the 71 it has 15s but I'm thinking about using a set of 18 inch chrome cobra r wheels off a mustang

First we would have to know your rim width and backspace. rule of thumb is you have to stay within 2in of your rim width and for every 20 of size your tire gets 1in wider. 220 to a 240 is a 1in wider.
on my 74 sat (pretty close to yours) I'm running BFG's 240 up front and 275-15 in the rear with 4.5 back space. I should have gone with a 5.5 back space
on a 15 x 10 on the rear then I could have gotten the 295s to fit under there.
