The tires on my 66 coronet rub (the rears) on the side when you turn..i have a set of Mag 500s that came with the car..but they are ford stamped (no center caps id get some mopar ones)...will they work with new tires better than the 15 In American racing rims athat are on it that seem to have incorrect backspacing?

The tires might be little to wide for the rear if they are 60s you might have to go 65s little taller and little narrower

What backspace do you have on the rims? Makes a big difference.

With the car sitting on the ground, drop a plumb line from the inner lip of the wheelhouse. Take off a wheel lugnut. Measure the distance from the end of the stud to the plumbline. Add the length of the stud. Now you have the distance from the drumface. With that length, go start measuring your wheels & tires. As just noted, the different back-spacing on different wheels makes a big difference.

Ill measure the backspacing tonight when i get back home and tell you guys my findings...im figuring if i measure from one of the holes in my mag 500 to the back lip that is the back space? right? and then if i measure from the front hole to the front lip thats the front...then add em and get the rim size...how much backspacing would be needed exactly?
