I noticed several threads regarding the Tremec TKX trans and do you need to cut the car up or not. I researched that issue enough (for me) that I ordered my transmission and required components yesterday from American Powertrain. The one burning question I have, is a simple one; and likely been answered on this forum and I'm not Sauvey enough to find/comprehend it. That being said, if anyone knows for 100% certain, can I use my original Hurst shifter handle on this transmission? I have a 69 Dodge Charger RT, original 4sp car with console and buckets obviously. I love the promise of the Tremec but want my interior to be as close to original appearing as possible. I know the shifter location may be altered slightly, but can the handle still work?
As always, I value your time and responses immensely.
Merry Christmas!!
