I have a converter for a cast crank 440 and we want to use it on a steel crank one,, do I just remove the weights?
 
Yes....and don't forget to change harmonic balancer also
 
Thanks guys I thought so,, what I'm up to is My Son and I just bought a 440 with trans, and rngine hoist for $300 when I seperated the trans I discovered it has a "high stall" converter (10in) and I want to put that into my 63 (steel crank) car. he needs the transmission for his 78 Dodge RV, and the motor a T440 E HP , and the hoist wind up a bonus.
