I am converting my /6 '65 to a stroker "B". I've done some calculations and amazingly, if I go with aluminum heads, intake, waterpump and housing, radiator, and switch to headers, I'm showing an increase of no more than 70lbs. So I'm sticking with the /6 bars as my car is drag themed anyway.

My question is this: when I rebuild the frontend, is there anything I should do to the bars? Take them out for inspection? New boots?

What say you? Thanks in advance.

You can pull the bars and apply some grease to the hex ends, maybe replace the boots if they are split of dried out! check for any nicks .

What the hell is it about that stuff? You're dead right. It gets places you KNOW you never touched.
