Ok after a lot of examination I am rather convinced that my transmission is leaking at the access cap next to and under transmission mount. This is a 904 and that access is for the C clip for releasing the tail assembly.

Question if I pull the trans cross member and mount to gain access to this area do I have to support the transmission with another jack or is it safe without it? Meaning is the assembly secure enough to the engine that its will be ok to work on without a any other support? I aint gonna be do any heavy work its just two philip screws and the access cover removal and replacement with a new gasket or permatex.

Jack with a 2x4 under trans pan. Otherwise you’re putting a big strain on mtr mts.

Gotcha! Thanks!!
