On a 70 Road Runner, were the transverse stripes the ones located above the tailights or on the hood? I'm a little confused.

Geez...I think the "transverse stripe" is the tail stripe around the tail lights & was available in reflective black/white/gold

V21 is the hood "stripe" (painted on) option
V6Y is the gold "dust trail" stripe on the sides of the car
