How many years is the wait time for the A-855 at right now?
did you just switched the gears in your stock 833? What do you mean by 1/2 not ideal?Excellent informative video.
Maybe someday I can get one, I’m using the 833od gears in an iron case, 1-2 isn’t ideal, but the od makes up for it, and of course you can’t beat $500
3.55s. With such a low 1st I can’t go lower, but 60mph is kinda too much for 3rd which is 1:1, and not enough for 4th, which is .73:1what are u running in the rear end?
Yes, the passion overdrive gears are way better, but a little expensive for me right now.The OD gears from Passon are 18 spline, 2.66 1st, 1.59 2nd, 1.0 3rd, 0.80 4th....
I think the ratios posted above are for the 23 spline OD trans used by Chrysler in the mid-70s for 6 cylinders and small V8s..
Just my $0.02...
The ratios are different so the sizes if the gears are different and won’t work. You take the whole shafts and gear assembly’s.I trying to figure if you can machine 1st and 2nd gear to work with the OD. Or is it that you cant change the gears/wont work with different gears?
I could be wrong and have a 1.67 2nd. But I was thinking depending on application, 6cyl got 1.90, and v8s could be 1.67. I don’t claim to be an expert, I could have misread somethingI'm wondering how he got a 1.90 second gear. I thought there was a "cluster gear" that had cast in gears that could not be individually changed. Every 833 OD trans that I have seen had a 1.67 second gear ratio.
