Hey again! So as posted in my previous post about the aluminum trim restoration, I also took on the task of taking the original trunk medallion and reatoring it with all the original parts.
The first to to this was obviously disassembly and cleaning, from there it was finding the right color for the fratzog center piece. The color I found that matched the closet to the original color is from dupli-color and is called Inferno Red Metallic, and yes I just had to go with a Chrysler color to keep it as original as possible! I do wish the acrylic center piece wasn't cracked from there the chrome pice was polished by hand and cleaned up and then hand painted all the places that were supposed to have black with a black enamel paint. The image that looks like a screen shot is for comparison and what I used for reference. Enjoy!
