It all depends on how correct do you want to be with your weatherstripping. Trunk weatherstripping can vary depending upon year model and body style. If it is for the Charger as pictured, the original weatherstrip has a inner lip that lays inside the inner lip of the rain gutter. Most of the generic reproductions do not include the inner lip. It is not a necessity to sealing the trunk lid, but it is one of those detail items that is noticeable. The other reproduction is a correct profile with the inner lip. The original trunk weatherstripping was molded with areas without the lip. For certain model cars, I offer them with this area trimmed out as the factory did.
As with any weatherstripping, manufactures differ in the firmness and thickness of the profile. You will also find that one piece to the next from the same manufacture may have variances in them. As your doing, good to ask.
