Try this for your insomnia.

I had several years of insomnia, I also have restless leg syndrome. Many nights of 3 hours of sleep. During the insomnia years there were many nights of less then 2 hours. The insomnia left as soon as it came not sure why. I have tried several meds to get the RLS under control, finally after 19 years I have the right meds and the correct timing of taking them the RLS is less then 2 nights a month. I have read that tart cherry juice is good for sleep, also less screen time before bed, I have also read breathing exercises help. I would like to drop off to sleep quicker but I will be happy with the 6 hours i get now.
 
I've had insomnia since I was a kid. Remember in kindergarten when you suppose to take a little nap? Not me! I'm on every prescription drug there is and I still don't sleep.
 
I usually don't have trouble getting to sleep but with sinus and back issues I toss and turn all night. I don't get much quality sleep for sure. Last night I couldn't get to sleep. It happens every once in a while. I took a 10 mg melatonin and a Midnight sleep aid and it was still 2 am when I drifted off. I woke up at 5 when I heard the shower going across the hall. I see a nap in my Monday future.
No wonder we like fast cars.

I do enjoy cooking and working on my Mopar
inspired project.

I sleep 4 hours at a time regardless how tired I am. I think because I have worked rotating shifts all my life that my body clock is so screwed up that I just wake. I have tried drugs and different sleep methods that worked short term but then I just woke anyway. Few more years of work then I hope it will straighten out.

Maybe this will be inspirational. I met this guy and saw him workout when he was on his college wrestling team. I also saw him compete at the Arnold Classic in the bench press.

Have you seen the seminar on sleep I posted? Lots of answers. Some of you are due for the grave soon if you you don't get your sleep disorder addressed ASAP.

In all seriousness, it was extremely informative. Maybe too much so. Got me to wondering what may be coming down the road with my health. This video is a great starting place from which to address my concerns when speaking with my doctor. Thanks for posting it.
 
How many of you with sleep problems have gone to see a specialist?

FYI, the Dr. in the video works for the Veterans Hospital. There's a lot of Vets on this forum who can take advantage of the VA home sleep study to identify any problems you may have getting a good nights sleep.
