Back in 1972 bought a Sig Erson cam and solid lifters. Was looking lifters over looked like the snap ring wasn't seated. Well the groove for the snap ring wasn't cut. Shipped it back, got another .

Has happened to me many times. I own a shop and whenever I return a defect I always write JUNK, in permanent black marker, prominently on the box/packaging.
