well I found out that I don’t draw air into the cabin from the upper outside windshield area, with vintage air system. It’s a recirculating air system. No carb vapors to reach inside. Other question was is there an increase in power? Well it really does feel like it pulls harder through out the rpm range. The big surprise is not some of, but all of the pre detonation, or pinging has gone away on 92 octane. My timing was right on the edge when engine was hot and would ping on hard acceleration. Not any more, runs at 185 and inlet air at surface of air cleaner is 90 degrees. Power, no ping, pump gas, I’m happy! Thanks for all the great comments and likes.. you all at FBBO are the best.
