I purchased the Moog K7103 upper A-arm bushings to give me more camber adjustment. They come wit 2 large and 2 small yellow cad-plated washers (Moog calls them ferrules). the instructions say to press these into the bushing ends once installed (large on outside, small on inside). The problem is these did not exist on the original bushings. Should I be using these or just chuck them into the scrap bin?

Use them. Dont try to pound them in. Either use a press or put them in a vice. A lube helps. Make sure they are not cocked before you squeeze them all the way in.

I just found it unusual to put something in the front suspension that wasn't there before. Does anyone know their purpose? possibly to control fore and aft movement? Thanks.

You bought this kit they the factory never used before, so what’s the problem? Moog offers this kit so follow their instructions.

And some cars do have these sleeves from the factory.
