I have a 68 coronet that i had to buy the washer reservoir and pump for cause it wasn’t in it when I bought. It does not seem to be working. Where is the fuse for it so I can check that? Also how do I know which wire goes to which terminal on the pump. It could be the switch but has anyone replaced and know of things I should check? Thanks for any help!

Should be a brown wire with a connector to the pump, black wire is ground. My car is a 67 belvedere, but, i don't think they changed wire color in 68, don't know for sure. Is that the ground wire screwed in on top of the washer resevoir "ear"? it should be touching bare metal.

The ground wire comes from the pump and connects at the rear washer bottle screw. From memory I don't remember the color of the power wire in the harness.

On my 67 i just used an existing hole on the apron for the ground wire.

It will work with any ground, but what I stated is the correct placement.
Haha, ya got me. I started thinking about that ground wire being in the right placement. I went out to the garage, and corrected my error. Just when I thought I knew everything. :)
